Since 1964, Pomerleau has been an important player in the construction industry. Today the company is one of the top builders in Canada. Pomerleau offers full services from preconstruction to commissioning of building systems, delivering medium to large-scale institutional, industrial, commercial, and civil engineering projects as general contractor, project manager and construction manager. Pomerleau has offices in Quebec City, Montreal, Sept-Iles, Saint John, Halifax, Ottawa and now Toronto. The Toronto office is located in the soon-to-be-certified LEED-EBOM Sunlife Financial Centre, and will be on the tenth floor of the centre tower in the west of Toronto (Islington Ave. and Bloor St. W.), occupying over 5,000 sq.ft. Pomerleau was one of the first general contractors to join the CaGBC in 2005 and continues to promote sustainable initiatives on job-sites, as well as internally. The office space will promote a healthy work environment, focusing on access to natural light and attention to indoor environmental quality aspects. Other sustainable features include reclaimed maple, local materials and energy efficient equipment. The Pomerleau approach includes creating partnerships based on respect and competence, as well as committing to results behind every action and decision. Our commitment to environmental initiatives in the design and construction of our Toronto offices reflects these values.
