Ile des Chenes Community Centre

The Ile des Chenes Community Centre will provide community residents with a new hall for social activities and gathering but also a daycare and medical clinic. As part of the project, the municipality is building a district geothermal system that will be share by the community centre, nearby skating rink and remote fire department. AMid the growing interest in district geothermal systems in Manitoba, the Ile des Chenes Community Cnetre will be the first to integrate a skating rink. Other sustainable features be explored include natural daylighting, rainwater harvesting, high performance building envelope, improved indoor air quality, and on-site stromwater management.
