CFB Gagetown - 1st Training Quarters Accommodations

As part of National Defence's strategy for improving the Quality of Life in the Canadian Forces, a new four-storey 247 suite accommodations building is being built at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown in Oromocto, New Brunswick. The modern accommodations will each have a double bed, built-in desk, kitchenette, ensuite washroom with shower, and Internet access. In addition to the bedrooms, there will be common lounges and laundry facilities on each level. The building will also house the office for base accommodations and additional offices to assist those arriving at CFB Gagetown. This project has been designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating. Some of the sustainable features include an enhanced thermal performing envelope and energy efficient mechanical and electrical systems, rainwater catchment system used to provide non-potable water for sanitary use, recycled, rapidly renewable, and low-VOC building materials, and daylit rooms.
